Happy birthday B.W!!!

Today is my sister’s birthday and I thought I’d dedicate this post to her (not that she’d bother to even read it). My first memories of her were conjured up even before she was born. I was praying hard for a baby brother since I had already been blessed with a little sister. God must have been laughing at me after B.W was delivered on October 7. All attempts to transform B.W into my very own sidekick (like Batman and Robin) were futile; thanks to my mum who ensured B.W didn’t turn out to be a tom-boy. She was introduced to the colour Pink. She had toy cooking sets and dolls. She even wore matching dresses with my other sister; which usually left me looking like the third wheel whenever we arrived at kiddies parties. B.W however was very fond of me and didn’t seem to mind that I always picked on her food as a baby (because she was such a joy to distract – I would go, ‘Look! Daddy’s back!’ and when she turned around another piece of sausage would mysteriously disappear from her plate – What can I say? She loved magic tricks). I can’t believe how time flies! She’s a grown woman now and somehow I still and perhaps will always see her as my baby sister.

Happy birthday B.W!

Lots of love,

Your Big Bro 😀

HAPPY BIRTHDAY E.B!!!

Today is my sister’s birthday and I’d like to dedicate this post to her (so consider this a sneaky birthday present, sis!).

E.B is my immediate younger sister and I consider her one of the luckiest people I know…and here are 5 reasons why:

***********************************************

  1. First of all she has an older brother and a younger sister. I on the other hand have two sisters and no brother 🙁
  2. She has this amazing superhuman power – the ability to teach pupils patiently and impart knowledge. I just write a lot and don’t really care if you understand me.
  3. E.B is multi-talented. The last time I checked she can also sing, act, dance, play video games, manage projects, cook, run, diet and if I go on then you’d probably think I’m just blowing her trumpet. I can do all of those, by the way (or at least I like to think so…) 😛
  4. She is gobsmackingly beautiful and she is married to a loving husband whom she’s had a bouncing baby boy with. I see no ring on my finger. Still no ring on my finger.
  5. My sister has defied the ageing process and appears to be getting younger (in your face Benjamin Button!). I am ageing the old-fashioned way (to my complete annoyance).

I love her to bits and she knows how to make me laugh. She is MY sister so I guess that makes me pretty lucky too 🙂

********************************************************************

Looking forward to seeing you and the family in September. HAPPY BIRTHDAY E.B!!!

Lots of love,

Your Big Brother
